2006 50th Anniversary Yamaha R1 1
My current road ride, I think the '04 - '06 R1's are one the prettiest bikes ever made. It goes against all my "stock is not an option" instincts but I'm desperately trying not to fiddle with it.
In reality it needs bugger all: I just love the look of it, it's plenty fast, sounds tough as nails with GYTR slip-ons and crackles nicely after a home brewed de-cat.
A cheap as chips '07 rear shock to replace the spongy-pud '06 unit and a PClll with plug-in quick-shifter makes for a brilliant bike for the real world and emergency track day duty. So much bike for so little $$$.
